Ginger Beer Recipe
Ginger Beer is a holiday treat on the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua. Although everyone seems to have their individual preference as to how it should be prepared, one commonality between all parties seems to be an appreciation for a STRONG representation of the namesake ingredient, ginger, that gives a tangy heat to the sweet brew.
The process is pretty simple: pick a bunch of Flor de Jamaica flowers, throw the petals in a pot and add some cinnamon, cloves, and a ton of ginger. Boil it all, blend it all, strain it, and stick it in a bucket to sit for a few days. Add sugar to taste, take a few pictures, and enjoy.
